The API GH & KH Test Kit is a reliable tool that allows aquarists to closely monitor and maintain the appropriate water conditions for the fish in your aquaponics system & aquariums. This kit will let you precisely measure the General Hardness (GH) and Carbonate Hardness (KH) levels in your aquaponics system. Knowing your carbonate hardness can aid you if you're having issues with maintaining your pH levels.

The Basics of How to Use

1. Fill test tubes with the water to be tested, to the 5 ml mark.
2. For GH test, add one drop of GH Test Solution into sample water.
3. Cap & shake the test tube after adding each drop, until the water turns green counting the number of drops used as you go.
4. Refer to table at end of instructions for results using the number of drops used.
5. For KH test, add one drop of KH Test Solution into sample water.
6. Cap & shake the test tube after adding each drop, until the water turns yellow counting the number of drops used as you go.
7. Refer to table at end of instructions for results using the number of drops used.
